The National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. releases a list of ’08 model-year vehicles it plans to test for crashworthiness.

NHTSA will conduct frontal and side crash tests on 30 passenger cars, 19 SUVs, two vans and three pickups. It will perform rollover resistance testing on 22 passenger cars, 20 SUVs, three vans and one pickup.

Models slated for testing include the redesigned Cadillac CTS and Chevrolet Malibu sedans, redesigned Chrysler Sebring convertible, all-new Infiniti EX35 cross/utility vehicle, and new Suzuki SX4 sedan.

In addition to vehicles already tested, NHTSA says this fresh batch of vehicles will provide consumers with frontal crash ratings for more than 88% of all ’08 models, as well as side impact ratings on nearly 78% and rollover resistance information for about 92%.

A detailed list of the vehicles it plans to crash is posted on NHTSA’s website.
