North American production accelerated in February against what was scheduled for the month, an apparent offset to January’s 5.0% (66,000- unit) shortfall from planned industry car and truck output. Ward’s estimates North American assembly plants will build 1.417 million vehicles in February, more than 64,000 units above what was slated for the month.
