Thomas Sidlik will retire from DaimlerChrysler AG’s management board when the Chrysler Group sale is completed, the auto maker confirms.

The 57-year-old executive’s duties as head of global procurement and supply will be eliminated after Cerberus Capital Management LP assumes control of Chrysler, DC said previously.

Chief Financial Officer Bodo Uebber will be responsible for procurement at Daimler AG, the Stuttgart-based entity that will emerge from the split.

Simon Boag will handle the purchasing chores at Chrysler.
