Toyota Motor Corp. reportedly has improved the fuel efficiency of its Prius gas-electric hybrid model in Japan from 68 mpg (3.5L/100 km) to 73 mpg (3.2L/100 km), bettering Honda’s Motor Co. Ltd.’s Civic hybrid, which gets 69 mph (3.4L/100 km) under Japanese test cycles.
