Motor Corp. adds a second version of the Land Cruiser Prado into the mix at Sichuan Toyota Motor Co. Ltd., a joint venture with FAW Group Corp. in China.
The year-old JV begins production of the high-grade Land Cruiser Prado VX at its Chengdu plant, which also makes the Land Cruiser Prado GX.

The move raises Sichuan’s overall annual production capacity from 20,000 units to 23,000 units.
Toyota’s total vehicle production capacity in China now stands at 343,000 units annually.
