The U.S. medium- and heavy-duty truck market stumbled further in April, with combined sales plunging 48.2% from year-ago to 15,263 units. The performance translates into a 170,000-unit seasonally adjusted annual rate, down from 330,000 in like-2008 and 200,000 in March. Through the first four months of 2009, combined big-truck sales total 62,961, 40.4% below year-ago’s pace.
