U.S. light-vehicle sales fell for the third straight month in March, as the heated price competition among the Big Three again failed to lift sales on a par with year-ago levels. Demand fell 1.5% to a daily selling rate of 56,080 (27 selling days), compared with March 2001’s 56,941 (28 selling days).
