Clive, the world's oldest surviving crash test dummy, wins “best-of-show” award for cute humor and safety messages in Volvo's short animated film “Clive Alive.”

The light-hearted film took its third award this year at the U.S. International Film and Video Festival in Chicago on June 8. The stars of the film are Clive Bengtsson, a dummy and “senior pain researcher” for Volvo and his love interest in the film, Mary, also a dummy and “whiplash expert.” The film spotlights Clive's life as a crash test dummy, his romantic interest and marriage to Mary and, of course, Volvo's dedication to passenger safety.

With clever safety messages like “safety first, it's in our blood,” Clive charms film audiences while describing the unique air bag and electronic traction control systems in Volvo vehicles.

The film was selected out of more than 1,500 entries to win 10 first place “Gold Camera” awards, three second place awards as well as “best-of-show.” The U.S. International Film and Video Festival is an annual event that showcases the best business, television, documentary, industrial and informational film and video productions.
