Volkswagen AG decides to drop its long-running free air conditioning incentive on the new Golf, just in time for fall. The auto maker says it will begin a new round of discount packages on the small car and vows to sell 600,000 Golfs this year. The new discount program covers a variety of options and trim levels, with prices reduced as much as €2,200 ($2,708) depending on options chosen.
