WardsAuto.com took home three 2010 Digital Azbees, awarded for editorial excellence by the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
The website garnered silver awards in the Subscribers-Only Premium Content category and the Web Database category. It won a bronze award in the Web Microsite/Special Section category for its State of the Industry Parts 1 and 2 packages.
Earlier this year, Ward’s Automotive Group was awarded multiple 2010 Azbees for its print publications.
Ward’s Automotive Reports took first prize nationwide in the newsletter-general excellence category, while Ward’s Dealer Business Editor Steve Finlay won for best regular column – the third consecutive year he has claimed the category’s top spot.
Finlay won for a pair of editorials: “Limbo Land of Auto Finance” and “Axed Aces Wonder Why.”
Among national competitors, Ward’s AutoWorld’s annual 10 Best Engines awards package earned a bronze in the original research class.
In awards covering ASBPE’s Midwest region, Ward’s claimed gold for:
- “TPMS Rollout Rolling Along” by Ward’s AutoWorld Executive Editor Tom Murphy, in the technical article category.
- “Cool Paints Initiative Ugly, Lazy” by Ward’s AutoWorld Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter, in the editorial/editor’s letter category.
Winter also won a silver in the editorial/editor’s letter group for “Criticism ofNano Wrong-Headed.”
