The exterior is refreshed with an all-new hood, grille and front fascia, along with new head and taillamps. New 18-in wheels are standard on the SEL and Limited, while the sport receives new, exclusive 22-in. black wheels with chrome accents.
There are multiple powertrain revisions. The 3.5L V-6 remains the base engine, but boasts a 20-hp increase. Sport models are now equipped with a 305-hp, 3.7L V-6. Both are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission in front- and all-wheel-drive configurations. A 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cyl. becomes available mid-year.
The brake system receives numerous enhancements including larger rear rotors, revised brake pads, steel pistons, revised booster and recalibrated pedal ratios for more responsive pedal feel. New brake features include hill-start assist, emergency-stop brake assist, and adaptive cruise control that warns the driver and pre-charges the brakes when a collision is imminent.
Noise, vibration and harshness characteristics are improved with a new acoustic headliner, thicker, acoustic-laminated windshield, foam baffles in the fenders and D-pillars, as well as other changes.
