Renault eyes blocking stake in Russia AvtoVAZ-paper


MOSCOW, June 23 (Reuters) - French Renault wants a blocking stake of 25 percent plus one share in number one Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ and set up a joint venture that would produce 450,000 Logan cars a year in Russia, Vedomosti business daily reported on Friday. Vedomosti said the deal, which would have to be approved by the Kremlin, was discussed when AvtoVAZ chairman Vladimir Artyakov visited Paris last week.
