Renault Trucks CEO sees deliveries down 5-10 pct

STOCKHOLM, May 15 (Reuters) - Volvo's Renault Trucks sees deliveries dropping 5-10 percent this year in line with the overall European market drop, Renault Trucks Chief Executive Stefano Chmielewski said in an interview on Thursday.

"We forecast a drop in line with the expected drop of the overall European market," he said, predicting that the market would decline 5-10 percent.

Chmielewski also said he was confident that Renault Trucks would meet its market share target of about 13 percent this year in the heavy trucks segment, despite losing some of its market share so far this year.

"Compared to our performance last year we have decreased our market share a little bit," Chmielewski said. "But we are quite confident that we will meet our market share target this year which is about 13 percent in the heavy segment, more or less in line with last year."
