DUESSELDORF, Germany, March 21 (Reuters) - German car parts and defence group Rheinmetall expects to merge eventually with rival Krauss-Maffei Wegmann but no talks are going on at the moment, Rheinmetall Chief Executive Klaus Eberhardt told reporters on Wednesday.
Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, which teamed up with DeTec to build the Puma infantry combat vehicle, has also signalled that a link with Rheinmetall's Landsysteme unit could make sense.
