Russia agrees to AvtoVAZ mass layoff - paper

MOSCOW, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Russia's government has cleared a plan by troubled car maker AvtoVAZ to cut its work force by a quarter after a month of hesitation due to fears of public unrest, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
