France vehicle sales totaled 175,518 units for September 2012, down 14.9% vs. September 2011. September 2012 vehicle sales increased 48.3% vs. August 2012 sales. 2012 sales through September totaled 1,759,978. This was down 12.5% over the same period in 2011. PSA Peugeot Citroen was the leader in year-to-date sales with a total of 532,954, resulting in a 30.3% market share.
