Japan Vehicle Sales Down 5.7% in October

Japan vehicle sales totaled 359,333 units for October, down 5.7% vs. October 2011. October 2012 sales decreased 19.6% compared with September 2012. 2012 sales through October totaled 4,637,276, up 33.8% over the same period in 2011. Toyota was the leader in year-to-date vehicle sales, with total of 1,449,665, resulting in a 31.3% market share.
