Samsung Motor creditors sue Samsung units over debt

SEOUL, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Creditors of a failed car-making unit of South Korea's Samsung Group filed a lawsuit on Friday, demanding the group's chairman and its units repay $4.5 billion in debt accumulated by the former unit, a main creditor said.

The 4.7 trillion won ($4.5 billion) claim -- which included principal debt of 2.45 trillion won and the remainder being interest accrued on that amount -- was the single largest claim ever filed in a civil suit in South Korea, major ...
