Sanpaolo only agrees Fiat cap hike so far-source

TURIN, June 25 (Reuters) - Sanpaolo IMI , one of Fiat's oldest banking allies, has agreed to take part in a capital increase at the struggling group but wants more details on Fiat's other plans, a financial source said on Wednesday.

Fiat is due to release a new restructuring plan to reverse its deep losses on Thursday and is widely expected to announce a capital increase of about two billion euros backed by its creditor banks.

The carmaker is also in talks with its creditors, including Sanpaolo, about extending the terms of a three billion-euro loan it received last year and raising about another two billion euros via a new syndicated bank loan, reports have said.
