Serbia to put Zastava on sale on Dec 27 -minister

BELGRADE, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Serbia will publish a tender for the sale of automaker Zastava, producer of the Yugo hatchback, on Dec. 27, Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said on Monday. Zastava, which employs 4,000, is one of 750 state-owned companies that are to be sold by the end of 2008. "The deadline for submitting binding bids will be May 2008," Dinkic said, giving no further details.
