SGL Carbon increases graphite electrode prices


FRANKFURT, May 31 (Reuters) - SGL Carbon has raised prices for its graphite electrodes, the German company said in a statement on Tuesday. It said it had increased prices in the Americas, Asia (excluding China), Near Middle East and Africa to $4,100 per metric tonne from $3,650 earlier for regular-sized graphite electrodes, and to $4,450 per metric tonne from $4,000 for extra-sized electrodes.
