SGL says '05 new orders exceed '04 level


FRANKFURT, July 26 (Reuters) - Germany's SGL Carbon , the world's top producer of graphite electrodes for steelmakers, has received more orders for 2005 than it did for the whole of 2004, it said on Monday. SGL said it had raised prices of its electrodes by "a clear double-digit percentage" in Asia excluding China, by around 10 percent in North America and in Europe by less than 10 percent.
