STMicroelectronics CEO joins Fiat board


MILAN, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Chief Executive and Chairman of STMicroelectronics Pasquale Pistorio will join the board of Italy's Fiat as an independent director, Fiat said on Thursday. Pistorio, who is also a deputy chairman of Italy's powerful industrialists' body Confindustria, was backed by Fiat's Chairman Luca Montezemolo, who chairs Confindustria, Fiat said in a statement.
