Mitsubishi will invest ¥1.9 billion ($20 million) to increase production capacity for transmissions by about 10% in the Philippines. An indirect subsidiary in the country now builds 475,000 transmissions a year. New plans call for the unit to start making 6-speed transmissions, with an anticipated annual output of 60,000 units.
