Suzuki Motor exec, CEO's son-in-law dies at 52

TOKYO, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Suzuki Motor Corp board member and head of overseas marketing, Hirotaka Ono, died of pancreatic cancer late on Wednesday at age 52, the Japanese automaker said on Thursday.

Ono, who was married to Chief Executive Osamu Suzuki's eldest daughter, joined the automaker in 2001 from Japan's economy and trade ministry and was widely seen as a strong candidate to succeed Hiroshi Tsuda as president, and eventually Suzuki as CEO. (Reporting by Chang-Ran Kim)
