Tata-Fiat auto JV investment may top 665 mln euros

MUMBAI, Dec 14 (Reuters) - India's top vehicle maker Tata Motors Ltd. on Thursday said that total investment in its Indian joint venture with Italy's Fiat may top 665 million euros.

The joint venture would start production of engines and new cars from the beginning of 2008, Tata Motors said in a statement. Tata Motors and Fiat in July formed a joint venture to make and distribute cars of both firms, and said they would also together build a small diesel engine and transmissions.
