Thai floods to cut Japan Oct-Dec steel output-METI

TOKYO, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Flooding in Thailand will cut Japan's crude steel output by 890,000 tonnes in the October-December quarter from an October estimate of 28.2 million tonnes, the Trade Ministry in Tokyo said on Thursday

Nippon Steel Corp said after the ministry announcement that it believed the Thai flooding was unlikely to sharply reduce Japan's car output in the financial year to next March. (Reporting by Yuko Inoue)
