TVS Motor January two-wheeler sales down 23 pct


MUMBAI, Feb 1 (Reuters) - India's third biggest motorcycle maker TVS Motor Co Ltd said on Friday its January sales fell for the eleventh straight month to 93,385 units, down 23 percent on year. The company, which lags Hero Honda Motors and Bajaj Auto in volumes, said in a statement motorcycle sales fell 44 percent to 38,961 units. Scooty sales fell 9.4 percent to 18,594 units but exports grew 86 percent to 13,108 units. (Reporting by Narayanan Somasundaram; editing by Sunil Nair)
