UPDATE 1-Autonation reports higher third-quarter earnings

DETROIT, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Autonation Inc reported higher third-quarter earnings on Thursday and said it still expected 2010 new vehicle sales to be around 11.5 million units for the auto industry.
