(Adds details) PARIS, July 23 (Reuters) - French car part maker Faurecia posted a bigger-than-expected rise in first-half profits on Friday thanks to cost cuts and stronger demand, which outpaced stagnant European auto production. Europe's second-biggest listed car part maker said in a statement net profit in the six months to the end of June totalled 31.9 million euros ($39.12 million) versus 16.2 million a year ago.
