CHICAGO, July 24 (Reuters) - Navistar International Corp. , the U.S. truck and diesel engine maker whose accounting errors are requiring a restatement of earnings going back to 2002, has adopted a short-term poison pill to prevent a hostile takeover while it gets current in its financial reporting.
