Given the lack of popularity in coupes, outside of the sport/luxury segment, I don't think we'll see a 2-door car from GM in the spirit of the Monte Carlo.

GM certainly thinks so. A key part of this is GM's desire to grow sales in regions such as California and the East Coast, where its market share is low. This is the sort of product in demand there...
