The model line has expanded with the addition of the Overland model with a 5.7L Hemi V-8 and Quadra Drive II. The Overland also comes with unique platinum accents in the grille, bodyside and beltline moldings, 17-in. platinum-clad wheels, roof rack side rails, liftgate light bar, side mirrors and rear bumper. Other features standard on the Overland include leather and real wood steering wheel, rear object detection system, trailer-tow equipment, navigation radio and Sirius satellite radio. Also new is the high-performance SRT8 edition. Featuring the 6.1L Hemi V-8 from Chrysler Group's SRT performance wing, SRT8 creates a vehicle with optimum on-road performance with at least some off-road capability. In this application the engine produces 415 hp and 410 lb.-ft. (556 Nm) of torque. The SRT8 also has a revised suspension, a 1-in. (25-mm) ride height, 20-in. alloy wheels and high-performance Brembo 4-wheel-disc brakes. A unique all-wheel-drive transfer case, designed specifically to handle the power of the 6.1L engine, weighs 30 lbs. (14 kg) less than a conventional heavy-duty Jeep unit. New standard features for Laredo and Limited variants include stability control and one-touch up/down front door windows. The Quadra-Trac II all-wheel-drive system and an off-road package now are available on the Laredo with the 3.7L V-6.
