What’s New for ’09

  • ¥It is available in three trim levels, Sport, which is powered by a direct-injected, turbocharged 4-cyl. and is the only model featuring a 6-speed manual or available 6 speed automatic transmission, and the Luxury and VR6, the latter powered by VW’s narrow-angle, direct-injected, naturally aspirated 3.8L V-6, mated exclusively to a 6-speed automatic, the latter of which is available in an all-wheel drive configuration.
  • RAll models feature a sport-tuned MacPherson suspension and electromechanical power steering, as well as a large array of safety features, including front multi-stage, side-impact, thorax and curtain side airbags and stability control, which is standard on all ’09 model-year Volkswagens. The VR6 also features standard bi-Xenon headlamps.
  • QThe CC is differentiated from the Passat on which it is based by a lower, rear-raked roof, more aggressive beltline, unique grille, frameless door windows, and unique 17- and 18-in. wheels on all models. A large, panoramic vent sunroof, stretching the full span between the roof’s side rails, is standard on all but the base Sport model.
