What’s New for ’11

  • The brake system receives numerous enhancements including larger rear rotors, revised brake pads, steel pistons, upgraded booster and recalibrated pedal ratios for more responsive pedal feel. New brake features for include hill-start assist for starting off on uphill grades, emergency-brake assist, and adaptive cruise control that warns the driver and pre-charges the brakes when a collision is imminent.
  • Noise, vibration and harshness characteristics are improved with a new acoustic headliner, thicker, acoustic-laminated windshield and front door glass, foam baffles in the fenders and D-pillars, a more robust engine cover, re-tuned intake and exhaust manifolds and a recalibrated torque converter that enables earlier lock-up, reducing engine speed and noise.
  • The exterior is refreshed with new 2-piece light-emitting-diode taillamps that hide the light source and reflects light outward, hidden blind-spot-information system sensors, a new Lincoln logo, and 4-in. (102mm) oval dual exhaust.
  • New for ’11 features include the afore-mentioned adaptive cruise control, a blind spot information system, capless fuel filler neck and Ford’s My Key programmable safety system.
  • Traditional switches and buttons for the audio and climate control systems have been replaced by the Lincoln SYNC touch screen. The screen can be personalized for multiple drivers.
