The all-new replacement for the LeSabre and Park Ave. comes in three trim levels: CX, CXL and CXS. A refined 197-hp, 3.8L V-6 powers CX and CXL. The CXS features a 275-hp 4.6L V-8 that is optional on the CXL – Buick’s first passenger car powered by a V-8 since the demise of the Roadmaster in model year ’96. Although the 115.6-in. (2,936-mm) wheelbase is slightly longer than those of the models it replaces, overall length, at 203.2 ins. (5,161-mm), falls in between those of LeSabre and Park Ave. Overall width is similar to the earlier vehicles as well, but Lucerne offers more interior room, while engineering improvements and additional sound-deadening measures, including laminated side-window glass, reduce interior noise. Magnetic Ride Control, stability control, emergency brake assist, dual-depth front airbags, plus side-impact and side curtain airbags enhance passenger safety. Optional appointments include a DVD-navigation system, climate-controlled front seats and a premium audio system with auxiliary input jack.
