What’s New for ’11
- The all-new Opel Insignia-based Buick Regal enters the U.S. market as an ’11 model, featuring European design and performance, including a MacPherson front suspension with hydraulic bushings and a 4-link independent setup in the rear.
- BThe base engine is a direct-injection 2.4L 4-cyl., mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0L 4-cyl. with twin-scroll turbocharger enters the line-up mid-year, and features an available 6-speed manual transmission and Interactive Drive Control system that allows the driver to select from three suspension settings.
- Standard features include StabiliTrak stability control, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, dual-stage frontal and curtain side airbags, heated leather 12-way power driver’s seat, auxiliary audio and USB input jacks, Bluetooth hands-free cell-phone connectivity and XM satellite radio.
- After a brief period as an import, production moves from Rüsselsheim, Germany to Oshawa, ON Canada.
