Land Rover Unveils Luxury 110 Defender Sedona
Mud-plugger gets the premium luxury treatment with more interior opulence and extra power.
Land Rover Defender extends its premium offerings with the launch of the 110 Sedona Edition boasting even higher levels of opulence and power.
This vehicle ratchets up the model’s premium aspirations with top-draw interior comforts, leading driver assistance systems for all terrains and a punchier powertrain. With the Sedona’s launch, the automaker brings the luxury touches of its Signature Interior Pack, drawn from its Range Rover series, and, for the larger Defender 130, the introduction of the new Captain Chairs Pack.
Defender 110 Sedona Red is the one-year-only initial edition with the rich metallic body color first seen on the 130. It is complemented by an Extended Black Pack, with Narvik Black Defender script, front grille and skid plates plus 22-in. Gloss Black alloy wheels and a body-colored spare wheel cover. The exterior additions are completed by an optional Sedona Red exterior side-mounted gear carrier, ideal for carrying wet or muddy clothing or equipment.
Power comes from an uprated D350 engine, replacing the outgoing D300, also lifted from the Range Rover. This 3.0L diesel 6-cyl. claims a maximum output of 345 hp and torque of 516 lb.-ft. (700 Nm).
Interior specification, based on the Defender X-Dynamic HSE, is available with Ebony Windsor Leather and Kvadrat seats for the first time. Seats are part of the new Signature Interior Pack, which brings a suite of enhancements for greater luxury and attention to detail, tactile new material additions and convenient storage pockets for front-row passengers.
In the front row are 14-way electrically controlled seats with heating, cooling and memory functions, with supportive new winged headrests. In the second row, climate seats are fitted, with winged headrests on Defender 110 and 130 models. The third row has heated seats.
Land Rover also simplifies customer trim choices for the Defender range with a choice of S, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, X and V8 specifications across 90, 110 and 130 body styles. Market availability and prices for the 110 Sedona Edition will be released later in the year.
