Vietnam Jan-May industrial output up 15.9 pct y/y


HANOI, May 25 (Reuters) - Vietnam said on Thursday its industrial output in May rose an estimated 16.9 percent from a year earlier, while output in the first five months of the year rose 15.9 percent on the year to 206.79 trillion dong ($12.98 billion). The report showed that the garment and textile sector continued to post robust annual output growth of around 27 percent but output in several key industrial products fell, including automobiles and crude oil.
