FRANKFURT, May 15 (Reuters) - Europe's biggest automaker Volkswagen increased global sales in April by around five percent year-on-year to 443,700 units, the group said on Saturday.
"We will increase deliveries in full-year 2004 compared to the previous year through our ongoing model offensive," Volkswagen chief executive Bernd Pischetsrieder said in a statement.
April sales of Volkswagen brand vehicles rose seven percent to 270,900 vehicles, the group said.
