Volkswagen sets deal with labour to streamline work

FRANKFURT, July 24 (Reuters) - Volkswagen and its works council have reached an agreement that will let Europe's biggest carmaker streamline the way it works, the company said on Monday without giving many details.

"Volkswagen will become quicker and more efficient with this agreement supported by management and staff," personnel chief Horst Neumann said in a statement. "It is an important milestone in restructuring the Volkswagen brand."
