Volvo Jan-April truck deliveries rise 22 pct

STOCKHOLM, May 19 (Reuters) - Vehicle deliveries by Sweden's Volvo, the world's second biggest truck maker, rose 22 percent in January through April, the firm said on Thursday.

Volvo delivered 71,766 trucks in the period, up from 58,753 a year earlier.

The firm, which sells trucks under the Mack, Renault and Volvo brands, said order bookings for its truck operations were up 17 percent in the past 12 months compared with the previous year.
