Yamaha to boost Vietnam motorcycle output 50 pct

TOKYO, July 30 (Reuters) - Japan's Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. said it will start operations at a new motorcycle factory being built in Vietnam in October 2008, boosting its output in the country by 50 percent.

The new factory will increased its annual production capacity for motorcycles in Vietnam to 700,000 units, a spokesman for the company said.
