Chrysler Group announces plans to invest some $350 million in China and Taiwan to produce vehicles for the local market. Chrysler says it will build minivans in Taipei and Fuzhou, China, and the Chrysler 300C in Beijing.
“Chrysler is embarking on a new product offensive in Northeast Asia, led by our new flagship, the Chrysler 300C, along with the world's most popular minivan, and, of course, the venerable Jeep,” says Tom LaSorda, Chrysler president and CEO, who has been traveling in the region.
