ADP's Dealer Services Group has signed a technology and business agreement with Advent Resources Inc. that will give Advent's dealer clients a more-integrated F&I management system and give ADP users access to Advent's services.

The agreement certifies Advent as a member of ADP's Application Programming Interface (API) program, which gives selected partners the ability to interface to the ADP Elite system through ADP's interface library. Prospective program participants go through a rigorous qualification process before being certified to utilize the interface library.

There are more than 20 new and planned information points between the two systems. Dealers can pass information to and from the ADP dealer management system with Advent's F&I software. The sales manager now has all the necessary information to make the best decision on a deal, enhancing the ability to not only close the deal, but to do so at the optimal profit.

"We have been an Advent and ADP client for almost five years and in our opinion, the Advent F&I system has made a significant contribution to the efficiency and profitability of our dealership," says Jeff Robinson, vice president at Scott Robinson Honda of Torrance, CA. "We depend on the Advent system for the vehicle sales department just as we do on the ADP system for fixed operations and accounting and data processing. Together ADP and Advent bring us a very high value solution."

ADP Vice President of Product Marketing Kevin Henahan says, "This will enhance the ability of ADP clients to better manage multiple deals while managing profits. This is part of our strategy to help our clients improve their efforts to find, sell and keep customers."

Advent COO Tim Gill says, "ADP and Advent share many mutual customers. Our goal is to provide a better value proposition for those clients who use both ADP and Advent for their overall solution. Working together we are able to bring to the dealership a very powerful solution for their computing needs. Today dealers require the best in supporting technology to run their business. In an ever more competitive environment we believe that together this solution answers that need."

"The API Partner Program allows ADP to offer a competitive advantage to our clients," adds Mr. Henahan. "Advent is an excellent example of how this program is providing value to our marketplace."
