A photo is a great way for a dealership to commemorate customers taking deliver of their vehicles, says Michael Baker, CEO of Bob Baker Auto Group in San Diego.

It's also a great way to promote your dealership. To do it like Baker does, all you need is a digital camera and e-mail.

He says digital photos of customers and their newly purchased vehicles are snapped at his dealerships. Also in the photo is a service advisor on one side of the buyer and the salesperson on the other.

“We then immediately e-mail it to customers,” says Baker. “They see the photo when they get home. What's the first thing they do? Hopefully forward it to family and friends, because they are proud of their new car.”

Because the photo also shows where the vehicle was bought, it provides a plug for the dealership.
