Australia’s HSV Announces Gen-F Range Pricing
The auto maker says the price of its entry-level ClubSport has been cut to its lowest level in a decade.
Holden Special Vehicles prices its entry-level HSV manual-transmission ClubSport in its range of new Gen-F vehicles at A$60,990 ($58,795), a cut of A$4,000 ($3,856) from the preceding E Series 3.
At the other end of the scale, the LSA-powered GTS, the fastest, most powerful performance production car ever built in Australia, is priced at A$92,990 ($89,654) for the manual and A$95,490 ($92,064) for the 6-speed automatic with Active Select.
HSV Managing Director Phil Harding says the Gen-F GTS’s “price, power, performance and specification levels are unrivaled in the marketplace.”
The ClubSport R8 will retail from A$71,290 ($68,733), some $210 ($202) less than the outgoing E3 model. The ClubSport R8 Tourer will start at A$72,290 ($69,798), also a $210 drop.
“Our entry-level ClubSport is very competitively priced,” says HSV Sales & Marketing Director Tim Jackson. “In fact, the last time we offered a ClubSport for less than A$60,990 ($58,809) was way back in 2003 at specification levels not even comparable to today’s model.”
Pricing for the Maloo remains unchanged at A$58,990 ($56,881) for the manual, with the Maloo R8 manual priced at A$68,290 ($65,848).
Senator Signature buyers will see a A$3,000 ($2,892) price reduction to A$83,990 ($80,987). The 6-speed automatic with Active Select will continue to be offered as a no-cost option.
The Grange, the long-wheelbase flagship of the range, will cost A$85,990 ($82,900), a A$3,000 decrease from the E3 Grange. It is available with automatic transmission only.
Production of the Gen-F vehicles has begun and they are due to arrive in HSV showrooms in mid-June. GTS builds start in late August.
Prices include Australia’s luxury-car tax where applicable, but do not include dealer delivery fees or statutory government charges.
