Dodge Journey CUV Pricing Starts at $19,985

The Dodge Journey, which Chrysler positions between the Dodge Caliber and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, begins arriving at dealers in first-quarter 2008.

Chrysler LLC says pricing for its ’09 Dodge Journey cross/utility vehicle will begin at $19,985, including a $625 destination charge.

Dodge Journey SE trim-level models include standard equipment such as a 2.4L 4-cyl. engine, 5-passenger seating capacity and the auto maker’s “Chill Zone” beverage storage system. Standard safety items include multi-stage front drive and passenger airbags; front-seat-mounted side airbags; 3-row side-curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes at all four wheels; panic brake assist; electronic stability control; electronic roll mitigation; and trailer-sway damping.

A third-row seat that increases passenger capacity to seven and a back-up camera are available as optional equipment.

Moving up the trim ladder, the Dodge Journey SXT starts at $22,985, while the addition of all-wheel drive adds 19-in. aluminum wheels and tires, fog lamps and a performance suspension at $25,530. Dodge Journey SXT models and higher-level RT models also offer an available 3.5L 6-cyl. engine with Auto-Stick transmission and dual exhaust. Dodge Journey RT models begin at $26,545 and AWD pushes entry-pricing on the trim level to $28,295.

The Dodge Journey, which Chrysler positions between the Dodge Caliber and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan, begins arriving at dealers in first-quarter 2008. Availability in global volume markets outside North America in both left- and right-hand drive setups begins in mid-2008.
