Manheim Auction's first annual Automotive Woman of the Year Award goes to Marcy H. Maguire, president of Maguire Automotive Group in East Windsor, N.J.
The award honors a woman who is an industry leader and contributor.
Maguire and future award recipients receive a $15,000 contribution in their names to a scholarship fund for female students at Northwood University, a school specializing in auto retailing studies.
“This award is dedicated to recognizing the women who have opened the doors for other women in the automotive industry and who contribute to their community through active involvement,” says Manheim CEO and President Dean Eisner. “We are proud that Marcy Maguire is the first recipient, and we applaud all that she has done in her business endeavors and her service to the industry.”
She runs Nissan and Saturn stores. Husband Robert Maguire is also a dealer and 2001 chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Assn. (NADA). Marcy Maguire is currently an at-large member of NADA.
She serves on the NADA's convention and public affairs committees and is a member of both the American International Automobile Dealers Assn. and the Women's Automotive Assn. International.
Outside of work, Maguire serves on advisory boards for the University of Michigan, Habitat for Humanity, St. Francis Medical Center Foundation and Friends of the Homeless Animals of Trenton.
Boards she serves on include the American Red Cross, the Marine Scholarship Foundation and the Princeton Ballet School.
She received a Woman of Achievement Award from the YWCA of Trenton, the Volunteer of the Year Award from Brick MAC, the Humanitarian of the Year Award from Deborah Hospital and the Dioceses of Trenton Light of Hope Award from Catholic Charities.
