We struggled for years with the problem of salespeople brushing off customers on Saturday when it gets close to closing time because they wanted to depart more than they wanted to deal with another customer, and a potentially small commission.

Our solution was simple. Occasionally after lunch on Saturday, we announce the 'Last Deal of The Day' earns the salesperson a $200 bonus of top of commission.

Guess what? Suddenly the sales force was interested in those same customers and our late Saturday sales started to go up.
